Student model instruments are characterized by a soft, warm sound in the lower and middle registers and a strong, bright upper register; all instruments are collapsible, made of maple, cherry or pear and are well suited for solo performance, as well as for children’s and student ensembles.
The series is represented by the following sizes:
The Student instrument model was the first modification of the Melnytze-Podilskaya series instruments. The primary tasks were to improve the internal structure of the instruments, as well as their sound and timbre characteristics. In addition, certain changes were made to the design itself. Unlike the Historical-80 model instruments, the Student model instruments have a higher volume in the lower register and enable the use of additional applicators.
The model was conceived, in particular, for ensemble performance, so the sound-timbral characteristics of soprano, alto and tenor are well balanced among themselves. This allows you to avoid the problems of the variety of instruments when playing in ensembles. On the basis of close cooperation with professional fluters (teachers and students of music colleges, M.Lysenko National Academy of Music), changes were gradually made to the design, and over time we managed to produce a model range that would satisfy the instrument requirements of fluter-students as in their everyday practice of playing, as well as for concert performance. Later (in March 2021), a number of works were recorded with the help of the Student model soprano by the famous performer B. Korchynska together with the Acropolis team.
